Mysuru: A girl from Hebbal created nuisance as she set her room on fire after getting upset over her grandparents not giving her money. Priya is the girl who took the extreme step.

According to police, Priya’s mother who got separated from her husband died few years ago while her father married another women. Later, Priya, along with her mother was living with her grandparents.

On Wednesday, 27-year-old Priya, who is a II PU dropout and apparently an alcoholic and smoker as well, demanded money from her grandparents which she used to do very frequently. Whenever they refused, she used to create ruckus at home. On Wednesday, when the same scenario repeated, she quarrelled with them and later on Thursday morning, before going out of the house, set her room on fire. After noticing the smoke, Priya’s grand parents alerted the Hebbal Fire station personnel who within no time put off the fire.

No complaints had been registered at Hebbal Police station though Priya is yet to get back home, when reports last came in. The grand parents have apparently told the police that they would sort out the issue.
