Mysuru: In a shameful incident, a German lady who was atop Chamundibetta in Mysuru was subjected to sexual harassment on Monday at about 7.30 pm.

Jennifer Blake, a 23-year-old German national had come to Mysuru on February 13 and was at the Chamundibetta to witness the splendid sunset. After having enjoyed the resplendent view, Jennifer was walking her way down, when a youth pounced on her near the Nandi idol and tried to snatch her mobile phone away.

When she resisted, the raged youth groped Jennifer, bit her lips and chest and fled the scene after stealing money from her bag.

Garuda patrolling vehicle reached the spot and took the victim to the police station and forwarded her for treatment afte registering complaint.

A special CCB team has been formed to nab the culprit, said DCP Dr H T Shekar.
