Mysuru: In two separate cases, Vijayanagar and Udayagiri Police raided two places and have arrested 13 persons on charges of gambling, besides seizing Rs. 38,400 stake money from them.

In the first case, Vijayanagar Police on Apr. 19, who arrested four persons gambling in the KEB premises at SRS Colony in Hootagalli, have seized Rs. 1,100 stake money from them.

The arrested have been identified as Bhyrappa, Manjunath and B. Kumar of SRS Colony in Hootagalli and Basavaraju of Shanabhoganahalli post in Hunsur taluk.

NR Division ACP Umesh G. Shet supervised Vijayanagar Police Station Inspector C.V. Ravi and staff in the operation.

In the second case, Udayagiri Police, who raided a house in KEB Colony, Udayagiri, have arrested nine persons on charges of gambling and have seized Rs. 37, 300 stake money from them.

The arrested have been identified as Sageer, Siraj, Sameerulla Khan, Ansar Pasha, Jameer Pasha, Afroz Pasha, Mohammed Nadeem, Syed Mubarak, and Syed Umer from Kalyangiri Nagar.

DCP and Devaraja Division ACP supervised Udayagiri Police Station Inspector R. Srikanth, staff Venkatesh Gowda, Veerabhadraiah, Rajanna, Ayub Ahmed, Chandraswamy, Basavaraju, Mahadevaswamy, Nagasundar, Manjunath, Gopal, Ilyas Ahmed and M. Shanmugam in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation.
