Mysuru: A Gaana Yaana song programme ‘Chellidaru Malligeya’ Mysuru music festival was held as part of ‘A December to remember’ cultural festival at the open air theatre in Mysuru on Sunday.
The artists at ‘Chellidaru Malligeya’ knew exactly how to get Mysurians to dance to their tunes and nothing speaks more highly of a music programme then people getting up to dance to the tunes of the singer. The CM who came to the venue was also in a jolly mood as he enjoyed and tapped his hand to some of the songs of his youth days.

The evening began with the accomplished music of the Police Band’s Carnatic music, with the dedicated audience requesting for their favourite songs. While the chief minister arrived to dancing crowds of the folk trio from Chamarajapuram, pockets of enthusiastic dancers of all ages could be seen in the audience. The jolly mood of the audience was transferred to the Chief Minister who was seen enjoying the wide range of highly entertaining dances on stage.
Bhushan and his troupe also got the crowd chanting ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriya’ during their performance of ‘Sri Ganesha Deva’.
While the youngsters were screaming for encores of every performance, a few of the older crowd could be overheard telling their friends and family about the thrill of sitting behind the Chief Minister and watching the programme.
It was a panic moment for security and police when a artist from a dance group jumped right in front of CM with the sword
Chamarajanagar MP Dhruvanarayana, MLA MK Somashekar, MCC mayor R Lingappa, DC Shikha, DCP (law and order) Rajanna A N and many others were present.
