Free roaming wild Leopard creates scare, keeps forest officials on toes

Mysuru: A free roaming wild leopard has caused immense scare among the residents and vehicle users in Mandakalli airport and Chamundi Hill limits of the city in the last few days.

The fearless leopard first sighted by bikers remained on the road posing for cameras in front of powerful vehicle beam lights before entering the woods near Chamundi Hills.

Later, its movement was captured on CCTV cameras in Mandakalli airport limits.

Forest officials have begun combing operations and have placed cage traps to capture the leopard, terrorising people in the area.

People have seen wild boar and leopards roaming freely in the last few days. This mighty leopard had made a futile bid to kill a dog near an apartment in J P Nagar two nights ago, it is gathered.
