Mysuru: Burdened with financial crises and disturbed with creditors’ demands to repay their money, the second son of former MLA Late HS Shankar Lingegowda, Nagesh Preetham tried to end his life by consuming poison.

Owner of a two-wheeler, a tractor and a tempo showrooms, Nagesh Preetham had been suffering losses in business, it is said. On the other hand, the creditors were demanding the money Nagesh had borrowed over a period of time. Upset with the developments, Nagesh, while on a walk at Lingabudi Palya, reportedly consumed poison.

Passersby rushed him to hospital and also informed the family. Nagesh is shifted to the Intensive Care Unit. His condition remains critical, it is learnt.
