Mysuru: Former minister Ramadas and other BJP leaders have courted controversy after they illegally entered a SSLC evaluation centre and campaigned for the upcoming Vidhana Parishad elections.
Now the DDPI has decided to take action against the BJP leaders for violating the norms by entering the center where evaluation work was going on amid tight security.
The incident occured when evaluation work was underway in six centres. The former Minister Ramadas and other BJP leaders did not seek permission and went inside the centre and asked the teachers to vote for their candidate M V Shanker and distributed pamphlets.
DDPI officer H R Basappa confirmed that Ramadas had not obtained any permission to enter the centre. “Evaluation is done amid tight security and secretly. No one is allowed inside the centre except the evaluators, Hence we would be taking action against the leader,” he said.
