Forest guard burnt alive while dousing forest fire at Bandipur National park area

Mysuru: A forest guard was burnt alive while attempting to bring under control a wild fire here at Kalkere forest region on Saturday, February 18.

The deceased has been identified as Murigyappa (27) from Bijapur. Three others suffered serious injuries in the fire mishap.

The fire erupted in Kalkere forest region at Bandipur National park. The injured have been admitted to Saragur hospital.
