Mysuru: “Based on an agreement signed with two companies, the cultural city of Mysuru will be connected with Chennai during Dasara this year under Central Government’s Udaan Scheme”, confirmed Manoj Kumar Singh, Director of Mysore airport.

Two flight operators, Air Orissa and True Jet Air will connect the Tourist City of Mysuru with Chennai for a three-year period during Dasara under Union Government’s Udaan Scheme (Regional connectivity agreement ).The flights will operate twice daily from Mysore to Chennai during the first week or second week of September, said Manoj Kumar Singh.

True Jet Air and Air Orissa Flights will have seating capacities of 72 and 19 seats respectively. The flight charges will be Rs 1700 for half an hour duration and Rs 2500 up to 1 hour, stated M K Singh.

Further discussions are in progress to connect other cities to Mysuru including Mumbai and Delhi, Director M K Singh revealed.
