Siddapura: The villagers were assaulted over a hunted wild boar trapped in a coffee estate and the victim was hospitalized being reported Injilagere Puliyeri, near here.

A few laborers of a coffee planter laid a trap in a coffee estate located at Puliyeri to trap wild boar.  Their plan to trap the wild boar was successful and the local residents Darshan, Anil and others who were passing nearby manage to free the trapped wild boar and have taken home, when it died.  They informed the police at once.  Meanwhile, the laborers who laid the trap arrived at their home and began verbal abuse resulted in assaulting the samaritans.

Other villagers tried to calm down the situation, when the police arrived on the scene.  Darshan who  was injured being treated as out-patient in Siddapura community health center.  Darshan’s mother Sheela lodged a complaint at Siddapura police station related to the incidence.

Titimati forest range conservator Devayya visited the spot and assured that strict actions will be taken on those people who laid the trap.
