Mysore: The agricultural and industrial sectors play a crucial role in the development of the nation. With a cut-throat competition witnessed in almost all fields, there is a need to raise productivity levels, said NH Jayanth, President of Hebbalu Industrial Area.

Giving an example of Israel, he said how the nation despite minimal availability of water was engaged in agriculture. But India despite possessing ample resources has not been able to achieve development to the desired extent owing to ignorance of the potential of the available resources, Jayanth regretted.
