Mysuru: A grocer was conned by an unidentified person by giving Rs 2000 fake notes during a purchase in Kanakagiri area of the city.

The incident came to light when the grocer visited the bank to deposit cash. Bank personnel refused to accept the currency by terming it as fake.

The grocer was seen grieving over the incident about the fate of small shop owners in such duping cases.

However, no official complaint has been lodged till now.
