Mysuru: Troubles for Siddaramaiah seem to be never ending and in a fresh row, his close associate MLA M K Somashekar has been found guilty of tendering fake caste certificate.
The Deputy Commissioner has in an order stated that the MLA has furnished fake certificate.
M K Somshekar, who represents Mysuru Krishnaraj Assembly segment had furnished certificates to prove that he hails from the SC/ST Kuruba community.
Using the same identity he has availed several government benefits, including a MUDA site, permission for gas agency, petrol pump etc.
Taking up the same issue, former MCC member M C Chikkanna has been fighting against Somshekar after filing cases not just at the court but also before the SC/ST committee.
Following the same, the Karnataka High Court had directed the DC to initiate a probe and accordingly an investigation team lead by DC C Shikha probed into the matter and found that the allegations leveled against the MLA were true.
Speaking about the outcome, Chikkanna said that now that the allegations have been proven, stern action must be initiated against the MLA.
However, the MLA has said that the High Court has issued stay order on the order of the DC.
