Mysuru: The Mysuru division KSRTC authorities have sent a proposal to their higher authorities in Bengaluru, based on a request from people for extending city buses to different taluks across the district.

Once the city bus services are extended to taluks, people will be benefited as they need not travel to the suburb bus stands, shelling out more money, instead directly come to the city bus stand.

Responding to this demand of the people, KRS bus was extended to Pandavapura and buses were introduced to Nanjangud, both of which have evoked a good response.

Now people are demanding similar city bus facilities from Mysuru city bus stand to all Taluks including to HD Kote handpost, KR Nagar, Hunsur and T Narasipur. To operate these services, KSRTC Mysuru authorities need more buses and manpower.

Speaking to Newskarnataka Marigowda, Divisional Traffic Officer, KSRTC, Mysuru division said “There is demand for city bus services to all the taluks. Already we have introduced such facility to a few places including Pandavapura and Nanjangud where we have got a good response. We have such request to other taluks, we have brought this to the notice of our higher-ups in Bengaluru”.
