Mysuru: Mysuru-Dalita Sangharsha Samiti (DSS), and Congress activists staged a protest on  Wednesday November 17  against Mysuru-Kodagu BJP MP Pratap Simha’s comment on Congress Leaders Siddaramaiah and Priyank Kharge, saying his comments were derogatory, and thus they demanded an unconditional apology from him.

The protestors assembled at Simha’s Mysuru office  said “Priyank is the son of veteran Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge who is an ardent follower of Basavanna and Dr B. R. Ambedkar. The kind of work the senior Kharge has done in Gulbarga is there for everyone to see. The BJP leader doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘Priyank.’ He needs treatment for mental illness, they retorted.

They said, “Siddaramaiah is such a senior leader that Simha has no moral right to talk about him. Character assassination of senior Congress leaders is not acceptable. We want Simha to apologise to Priyank and the Dalit community, failing which we will be boycotting all his meetings in Mysuru in future, they warned.
