Mysuru: A drunk young biker lost his life in a road mishap after he ran over and crushed to death an innocent bystander who was waiting near the bus-stop at Srirngapatna to return to his native village to take part in his sister’s wedding.
The deceased are Chandan (24), the biker and Nagarju (55), the bystander.
While Chandan is said to be an employee in a private company, Nagaraju is a security guard working in Bengaluru.
It is said that on Wednesday late night, Chandan was riding back to Mysuru in an inebriated state after attending his friend’s wedding reception when he lost control over the bike and knocked down Nagaraju.
In the mishap Chandan and Nagaraju both were severely injured. While Nagaraju died on the spot, Chandan eventually succumbed to injuries.
Pall of gloom engulfed the wedding hall, where Nagaraju’s sister was supposed to have got married.
The bodies of deceased Nagaraju and Chandan were shifted to K.R. hospital mortuary. After post mortem the bodies have been handed over to the relatives.
Case has been registered in Srirangapatna police station limits.
