Mysuru: A divorcee killed his estranged wife in a fit of rage suspecting her fidelity in Vidyaranyapuram police station limits of the city.

Sunita (29) is the deceased woman, allegedly murdered by her former husband. She had married Karthik 10 years ago and left him after being fed up of him suspecting her fidelity. Later, she started staying on her own with her 8-year-old son on the 18th main road in J P Nagar ‘D’ block.

On the pretext of meeting his son, Karthik visited his estranged wife and got involved in a verbal duel with her, while dropping her son back home from school. During the fight, an enraged Karthik stabbed his wife to death in a fit of rage and fled the scene, police said.

The Vidyaranyapuram police are investigating.
