District incharge minister directs MLAs to inspect ongoing works

Mysuru: District in charge minister V Shrinivas Prasad said all the developmental works under Mysuru city corporation JNNurm projects which are in progress should be inspected on time.

He directed the urban limit MLAs Vasu, G T Devegowda, M K Somshekar, Tanveer Seth and Loksabha member Prathap Simha to inspect all the ongoing works in the district.

He was speaking at the Mysuru district level JNNurm review meeting held at district commissioner’s office premises.

Under JNNurm project Solid waste management work at the cost of Rs 30.37 crores, Drainage works at the cost of Rs 132.83 crores, Heritage core development work at the cost of Rs 39 crores, construction of houses and basic facilities for economically backward community at the cost of Rs 52.36 crores has been undertaken by the district administration.

MLAs Somashekar and G T Devegowda said houses have been built for slum-dwellers under BSUP project and asked officials to identify beneficiaries in this regard.

In the meeting MCC Lingappa, DC C Shikha, MCC commissioner Dr C G Betasuru Mutt and other ofificials were present.
