Mysuru: A massive crocodile was spotted on the banks of Kabini backwaters on January 31. The crocodile posed like a “dinosaur” before slipping into waters after its hunt for prey went in vain.
It is common during summer, when crocodiles venture outside their domain in search of prey. Sometimes animals from Nagarahole reserve forest get trapped when they come to quench their thirst. However, the water levels in Kabini have dwindled even before the onset of summer this year due to a sharp increase in day temperatures.

Villagers from adjoining areas have noticed an increase in the wild animals roaming around Kabini backwaters this season. They have taken precaution to protect their livestock from becoming prey to the hunters from the wild.

None spotted the predator which looked like dinosaur, except the cameraman!
