Mysuru: The case, in which a husband stabbed his wife 22 times and killed her in a drunken stupor on February 17 at Vidyaranyapuram here, has got a new turn.

In a shocker, the police have investigated that the murder accused Gopal, who was an alcoholic, went short on money to buy liquor. Hence he decided to upload one of the sex videos that he had shot with his wife on the internet and make money out of it. When his wife Deepa (25) refused to this, he killed her in a fit of anger.

A resident of Metagalli, Gopal had married Deepa hailing from Vidyaranyapuram eight years ago.

It is said that Gopal used to be in an inebriated state all the time and picked up quarrels with Deepa. Upset with this, Deepa had even left him and had started living with her parents.

On February 17, Gopal went to Deepa’s house, killed her and escaped.
