Mysuru: A supporter of B Y Vijayendra is understood to have committed suicide over ticket denial to his leader by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass.

Guruswamy alias Goolappa Tagaduru (32), a resident of Saraguru village in Varuna assembly constituency limits is the deceased.

Saffron Party activist for over a decade, deceased Goolappa is related to BJP Zilla Panchayat member Sadanand.

Goolappa was among the group of party activists that went berserk at Hullahalli Circle in Nanjangud after BJP denied party ticket to B Y Vijayendra.

Married recently, Goolappa leaves behind wife and an infant.
