Mysuru: Two leopards died due to meat bones getting struck in their oesophagus when they attempted to swallow food quickly. Unable to breathe after consuming bones, the leopards succumbed.
Postmortem was carried out by the vets and food experts and relevant samples were sent to the laboratory in Bengaluru for further analysis, according to Zoo Executive Director Kamala.
Animal lovers will miss leopards for sure when they visit the zoo which is likely to reopen after a month.
