Mysuru: No wasting time, even while on a protocol to receive the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah! Deputy Commissioner D Randeep and Superintendent of Police Ravi Channannanavar paid a surprise visit to Morarji Residential School at Sindhuvalli adjoining Mandakalli where the Mysuru Airport is located. They checked into the facility, inspected the hostel and interacted with the inmates.

After going through the facilities and interacting with the students, D Randeep was satisfied and happy with the upkeep.

Speaking to Newskarnataka, D Randeep said, “There were no complaints from students. They are happy with the quality food given and infrastructural facilities. After taking permission to give exposure to the students, the warden had taken six students for airshow which is going on in Bengaluru. They are not having any issues including drinking water or even benches. We also asked them whether they needed any additional facilities but they said they have everything”.

“Though we have 33 hoblis across the district, we are having 30 Morarji residential schools spread across 20 hoblis. We have given proposal for construction of 13 more residential schools in hoblis without them. I have instructed the officials to identify land for the same. For construction of each Morarji residential school we require a minimum of 10 acre land. In three months’ time the land will be identified and if everything goes accordingly, all the 13 Morarji residential schools will be constructed by the end of this year” added Randeep.
