Mysuru: One of the major attractions of Dasara–2017, the programme titled “Yuva Sambhrama” will be held between September 12 and 18.

Disclosing the details at a media briefing, SP Ravi D Chennanaver accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Mysore D Randeep said the week long programme, especially for the college youth, will be jointly inaugurated by District In-charge Minister H C Mahadevappa, cine actress Karunya Ram and presided over by MLA Vasu.

The week long fest will be held at the “Bayalu Rangamandira” (open auditorium) of Manasa Gangothri (Mysore University Campus) and around 145 colleges have confirmed participation this year. The focus of the fest will be on promoting the rich local culture, history, patriotism and heritage, SP Ravi Chennanavar briefed.

Each participating team will be allotted 8-12 minutes on stage and the participating institution principals and trainers will be given away certificates at the end in recognition of their contribution. One hour between 6-7 pm is allotted for the physically challenged children to showcase their talent based on request, SP said.
