Mysore : Various Dalit organisations staged a protest in the town on Monday April 28 condemning the statement of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev  that  staying in Dalit houses was like honeymoon for Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. The Federation of Dalit organisations took out a bike rally from Ashokapuram to DC office while protests were held on behalf of Dalit Students Federation near Manasa Gangotri and Congress ST cell near Gandhi Circle.

The protestors alleged that Baba Ramdev  in his haste to  criticise Rahul Gandhi  had hurt the sentiments of the Dalits. They also demanded the immediate arrest of the Yoga Guru.

Protestors  even raided the Swadeshi Bazar and Patanjali outlets  belonging to Baba Ramdev in the city. Thousands of Dalit activists participated in the protests.
