Cultural city Mysore faces fear of spread of Dengue fever

Mysore : Cultural city Mysore is  facing problems due to the fast spread of Dengue fever. Dengue cases which were earlier reported from  Salundi and other nearby villages have  now entered the city.

 

 

As per reports at least 16 p[people are suffering from Dengue  and six Dengue cases have been confirmed  including one case in Sunnadakeri.

This was informed by Mysore Corporation Health Officer Dr Nagaraj at an emergency meeting convened by the local MLA MK Somashekhar at the City Corporation Office. The officer informed that a total of 26 cases of Dengue have been reported since January.

He also informed that all precautionary measures like fogging are being undertaken to check the spread of the disease.

The MLA took the authorities to task for failure to desilt side drains resulting in water stagnation.

District Health Officer Dr. Malegowda also spoke on the occasion.

MP Vishwanath has visited various hospitals were Dengue patients are admitted and met the patients.
