Mysuru: There is a necessity to reform Indian politics and it is youth who can change the perspective of politics. Without the active participation of youth, the change in politics cannot happen,” said former minister C T Ravi. He was speaking at the inaugural of the interaction on ‘politics, citizens, politics- social thinking’ of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha, Mysuru-Mandya,-Hassan-Chamarajanagar constituency here on Sunday.

Inaugurating the programme he said, “Today youth have realised that the traditional or family politics will not help for the development of nation. Compared to a decade back, the involvement of youth in politics is increasing day by day. With the use of technology such as social media and other sources, the youth are now opining on political developments”.
Speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, “Earlier none of our prime minister’s trips to foreign countries were highlighted or impacted on national development. But after Narendra Modi coming to power, the recognition of India at global level as increased. Today India is in a position to play a role even in England politics”.
Prior to independence, the youth fought for the freedom struggle. Later during emergency period youth went against the administration were successful to counter it. Today’s youth need to participate in politics to reform it and improve the political discourse for thesake of the country‘s development.”
Prior to the programme, addressing a press meet he said, “State government had assured to give Rs 2650 supportive price to 1 tonne of sugar cane. But they have failed to implement which had pushed the farmers to trouble.”
“More than 50 thousand farmers and BJP will stage protest during the Belagavi session urging to implement support price for sugar cane,” he threatened.
“The scams of the state government are increasing day by day and the ministers such as , K J George, D K Shivakumar are in the scam list. BJP will be adding 10 crore in membership. Now we already have 1.25 crore registered members in the BJP”, he said.
