Mysuru: Sunil Bose, son of present district in-charge minister H C Mahadevappa, who is accused in a graft case has been issued a non-bailable warrant by Justice S Sudhindranath of 3rd additional district and sessions court for failing to appear before court.
The court had named Bose and his friend Raju as accused in the case on September 7 and had asked them to appear before the court on September 27. But both Bose and his lawyer A K Joshy failed to turn up. Hence the court issued non-bailable warrant and adjourned the next hearing to October 18.
It can be brought to light that in 2010, Lokayukta had trapped geologist Alphonse while he was taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in connection with illegal transportation of sand. Later Alphonse alleged that he was forced to take money by Sunil Bose and his friend Raju. Lokayukta had dropped the names of Sunil Bose and Raju from the chargesheet. But it was questioned by Basavaraju, resident of T Narasipur who had filed a private case before the court.
It is learnt, Sunil Bose is now trying to get bail by appearing in person in the court in the next 2 days time keeping in view forthcoming dasara.
