Mysore : In a shocking incident the arrow shaped compound grill of a park in front of the court complex here, pierced through the hand of a young woman who accidentally fell over it. The incident for a moment shocked people around as the young woman started crying.
Though people rushed to the spot, they were helpless. Finally, the Lakshmipuram police who arrived, summoned a doctor who helped separate the grill from her hand after injecting her with anesthesia. She was admitted to the KR Hospital.
However, the young woman has given contradictory statements to the police. If she initially said that she was from Bangalore, the very next second she said she was from Davangere. Meanwhile, reports say the young woman fearing more interrogation by the police has escaped from the KR Hospital.
Meanwhile, source said the name of the young woman was Preethi and she was from Kengeri in Bangalore. It is believed that she had come near the Park to borrow money from Mahesh and Shivu, residents of Vijayanagara in Mysore and was seen texting someone from her mobile phone. It is learnt, she tried to enter the park by climbing the compound wall instead of through the gate and in the process slipped resulting in the mishap.
