Complaint filed against Prof Bhagwan for controversial statement against Rama

Mysuru: A complaint has been filed against professor Bhagwan at Jayalaxmipuram police station for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus by making controversial statements on Lord Rama.
During a programme organized by the SC student union of Mysuru University to pay homage to Rohith Vemula, a student of Hyderabad Central University who committed suicide recently at Manasagangotri, Bhagwan said “Lord Rama is not an ideal man. He did not believe in potency. He suspected the virginity of Seeta and sent her to the forest.”

Social activist Kumar Gowda, the complainant said that by making such statements he has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and disturbed peace in the society.

A case has now been registered under IPC section 295A against professor Bhagwan.
