CM Siddaramaiahs Birthday: 11 Prisoners Set Free

Mysore: The birthday of CM Siddaramaiah was celebrated with a human touch by releasing the prisoners who were imprisoned because they failed to pay the fines, at the district sub-jail here on Monday August 12.

The well wishers of CM Siddaramaiah celebrated the birthday of the latter with human virtue.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA M K Somashekar said that some people are undergoing imprisonment owing to circumstances, while helping them to get out of the situation on humanitarian ground is appreciated, said MLA Somashekar.  He also assured to provide basic amenities essential for the prison.

MLA Somashekar also commended the efforts of prison superintendent Jayasimha in transforming the inmates.

The litterateur Professor K S Bhagawan said that CM Siddaramaiah who is striving for social justice will bring prosperity to entire state.

Professor Bhagawan appealed to the prisoners, to shun inferiority complex, because great men of India have faced imprisonment and they are not an exception.  

The woman inmate Seetamma including D V Somashekar, Mari, Mahesh, Kempe Gowda, Kumar Aradhya, Johnson, Puttamadayya, Jayaram, Prasanna and Kemparaju were released from prison after paying their overdue fines.

The media mogul Rajashekar Koti, union relief Committee president C N Manje Gowda, Congress candidate Dharmasena, city Congress president K Marie Gowda, Jayasri K Mari Gowda, jail superintendent Jayasimha were present on the occasion.

K Marie Gowda was felicitated by his well wishers.
