CM opposes Pejawar seer Vaishnava Deeksha proposal for Kurubas

Mysore :Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that there was no need for Pejawar Swamiji to  give Vaishnava Deeksha to  Kuruba community members as they belong to Shaiva sect  who are  worshippers and followers of Saint Kanakadasa.

The  CM who was at Mysore helipad reacted so when scribes drew his attention to the statement of  Pejawar seer that he will offer Vaishnava Deeksha to the  followers of Kanakadasa.

The CM said there was no proposal before the government on upgrading Mysore as a Brihat Nagarapalike and at the same time added that the government will not lag behind in offering all possible assistance towards the development of the city.

On the demand to  drop the decision to make Bed mandatory for PU teachers he said the government would look into the same.

The CM also declined to entrust the Sowjanya case to the CBI. The CID is investigating the case and as soon as the report is out action would be taken against the guilty, he said.
