Mysuru: “The funds of central government for Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) which have been cut off will cause a Rs. 4689 crore burden to the state government,” said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Addressing media persons during his visit to city for various programmes on Sunday, Chief Minister said that it is fact that the state government budget was in favor of AHINDA.

“The central government which had to provide funds of Rs 8235 crore for various development works is yet to sanction Rs 1987 crore. This has put a burden on the state government. The central government which has cut off the funds of JnNURM must release all to the state to continue the development works. Now there are many ongoing development works happening which are dependent on those funds. Their continuation will surely be affected” , he said.
The BJP has accused the CM of manipulating the budget to fulfil the aspirations of one sector of society and of misinformation regarding central funds to the state. Siddaramaiah defended his government on this count saying that the figures provided by the state government are facts.
Speaking about Indian Institute of Technology which will be coming up in state he said, “All Districts across the state want to have an IIT in their district. But there can only be one IIT institute as only one is allocated now. We have not finalized any place though Mysuru is also one of the strong contenders.”
Speaking about the reshuffle of the cabinet CM said, “There will be another round of talks with the high command before the reshuffle. We are not going to reshuffle the cabinet in a hurry.”
He also said that on Sunday the criteria for the reshuffle of cabinet will be formed.
Speaking about the allegations made by opposition on deceased IAS D K Ravi’s case that state government had conducted ‘honey trapping’, Siddaramaiah questioned why should government do it? There is no need for government to do it.

CM inaugurates 125 projects in Narasimharaja Constituency
Speaking to the press, here on Tuesday, after inaugurating multiple projects at the Lidkar grounds of Narasimharaja (NR) constituency, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured that the government will take all measures to make the heritage city of Mysuru as a model city for the country. He said, “the state government is planning a new City Development Plan (CDP) for the overall progress of four assembly constituencies in Mysuru city, and the details of this will be announced once the plan has completed” .

NR constituency MLA Tanveer Sait submitted a proposal for the grant of Rs 250 crore as a special aid package for NR constituency. The CM responded that the government will release funds for all four constituencies, Narasimharaja, Chamaraja, Krishnaraja and Chamundeshwari constituency respectively, to kick start all pending works.
The CM laid a bunch of foundation stones that for approximate 125 projects to be completed at a total cost of Rs 128 crores for Narasimharaja constituency alone.
The works include, asphalting near Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hotel High Way circle, Subhash Nagar, Fountain Circle, Suryanarayana Temple, Shanthinagaretc, redeveloping the Indira Colony including the construction of 116 new houses, a fish market in N R Mohalla, a Govt PU College for Women in Devanur, an Inter nodal Transit Centre in Saathagalli, constructing a bus unit in Bannimantapa under JnNURM, etc.
Explaining his attachment to Mysuru and the people of Narasimharaja constituency, the Chief Minister said “I am not born in Mysuru, but I was brought up in Mysuru city, pursued my education and have practiced law here. Especially, you the people of Narasimharaja constituency, have supported me during the by-election in 2007” he recalled.
Meanwhile, the CM assured that he will go the extra mile to provide more funds for developing the city and improving basic facilities with better transportation system, water facilities, and drainage management to protect heritage value of the city.

About 3000 members gathered to witness the inaugurals and hear the CM speak.
CM releases books, , ‘Adbhutha Santha’ and ‘Seve’
Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, released the books, ‘Adbhutha Santha’ and ‘Seve’, and Dr. HC Mahadevappa, Minister, Public Works Department, Government of Karnataka released the book ‘Paramagamsa Krupa Hastha’.

After releasing the books, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said “I appreciate Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama for conducting the event. The book ‘Adbhutha Santh’a narrates the story of Saint Swami Adbhuthananda. Adbhuthananda became a great saint as he came into contact with Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. What is a miracle, is that he is an illiterate and uneducated. I came for the first time to Mysore Ramakrishna Ashrama, and have great respect for it. Ramakrishna Ashrama has influenced many dignitaries including Rashtra Kavi Kuvempu”.
