Mysuru: The Congress party high command will take a final call before the due date for filing the nomination about him contesting from Badami Assembly Constituency, said Chief Minister Siddaramiah.

 

Addressing the media at his T K Layout residence here, CM Siddaramiah accused the media of creating confusion and complicating the issue.

 

“The people of Badami are not opposed to my contest and the decision to field me from there will rest on the party command”, he added giving rise to speculations of him contesting from two constituencies in the state.

 

H P Rajesh, representing Jagalur Assembly Constituency, will be given party ticket and the high command will take a final call on the rest, CM said talking about denial of tickets to some sitting MLAs.

 

“I will campaign in constituencies where tough contest is on the cards”, asserted CM and ruled out campaigning in all the constituencies.
