Mysore: CM Siddaramaih inaugurated the fifth All India Conference of Dalit Sahitya Parishat in Mysore on Sunday September 14.

Addressing the gathering CM Siddaramaih said, “We will be working for the improvement of Dalits and the government will always be supportive of them.”

“Dalits have come across lots of troubles and harassments over a period of time, however in the present scenario the government has always tried to uplift them”, he added.

He encouragingly said that such kind of conferences must be held and funds will be released from the government for such initiatives.

Srinivas Prasad said that India is still facing untouchability and discrimination of  the Dalits and people must take steps to completely eradicate these social evils from the society.
