Mysuru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah took everyone by surprise by helping a drama artiste at the Janatha Darshan held here in Mysuru on Tuesday.

Hundreds of people attended the Janatha Darshan held at CMs residence in Sharada Devi Nagar and submitted grievances seeking help from CM. Usually the CM receives grievances and gives it to his secretary, but yesterday he surprised everyone.

CM handed over Rs 10,000 from his pocket to Mariappa, a drama artiste, who had come seeking help. CM knew the artiste very well from last 30 years, who was suffering from temporary illness.

The gesture of CM was surprised and was well appreciated by all.
