Mysuru: “Chhatrapati Shivaji was the leader who conquered more than 300 palaces in those days” said Revenue and District In charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad.  He was speaking after inaugurating ‘388th Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti’ organized by the District Administration and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Samithi at Kalamandir.

Chhatrapati Shivaji was the man who created history in this country. Our country was under British Government for more than 100 years. In those days the country was ruled by Raja’s and Maharaja’s but later the country went into the hands of British. They came to do business in the name of East India Company, but seeing the weakness of our people, the British  ruled us in olden days. We celebrate Shivaji Jayanti because he was the leader who conquered more than 300 palaces he added.
