Chamarajanagar: The Karnataka State Government Employees ‘Association (KSRTC) cut the ribbon for the new canteen for state employees in the district. The canteen has been opened in the State Government Employees Union building.
The canteen will be followed by the construction of a clean drinking water plant under the coordination of the State Government Employees Union to aid the legislators in the building. President of the State Government Employees Union, CS Shadakshri, said, “This program is a motivation to make the Government Employees Canteen a model canteen in every district. Groceries and household items are being offered at discounted rates and employees should make use of it”.
Chandrashekhar, president of the association’s district unit, said the association will host several programs, including blood donation camps, volunteering through shramadana, and sports. He added that the association would make a genuine effort to serve the interests of the employees.
District Police Superintendent Divya Sara Thomas, Deputy Director of Public Education Department ST Jawaregowda, Municipal Commissioner Rajanna, Treasurer R Srinivas, and Hon’ble President V.V. Sivadurai, founder of Sai International, Bangalore Prasad were also present for the inauguration ceremony.
