Chamarajanagara: The villagers boycotted the Government Primary School in Hosadoddi for not changing name of the village in the school board.

Villagers told that 40 years back the Government Primary School started in Mysoorappanadoddi but the school was closed soon owing to shortage of students and opened in  neighbouring Hosadoddi in PG Palya Gram Panchayat limits of Hanur Taluk.

The villagers allege that despite several memorandums and pressure the Education Department did not change the name of village in school board nor in records. The school have classes from standard 1 to standard 5 with 25 students.

Hanuru Block Education Officee T. R. Swami told that it is not possible to change the name of village in records as it should be done on the Government level. He said he would visit village and persuade parents to send children to school.
