Chamarajanagara: District in-charge Minister Somanna held a meeting with the Villagers of Amchawadi, and Channappanapura of the Taluk of the DIstrict, who warned that if the chariot construction and restoration of the Village Temple is not done, they would launch Somanna ‘go back’ movement.
From the beginning of the meeting, Somanna criticised Chamarajanagara BJP ticket aspirant Rudresh indirectly saying that someone brought a board from Bengaluru, you fixed it. He rebuked villagers saying how dare you accuse me saying a liar? “Cheap politics should not be done in the name of God. Those who do politics in the name of God cannot last long,” he said.
He expressed pain that in his 45 years of political life, he has never been so humiliated.
“There is a 400-year-old Veerabhadreshwara Swamy Temple in Chenappanapura Village of Chamarajanagara Taluk. This historic Temple is dilapidated and the chariot is also damaged. V. Somanna had promised that he would take steps to rehabilitate the Temple and make a chariot. However, the villagers of 24 surrounding villages were annoyed that when they met Somanna in Bengaluru and Chamarajanagara. Against this backdrop, they expressed outrage that a movement called ‘Go Back’ Somanna will be conducted.
Housing Minister Somanna, who has been in-charge of the election of the Old Mysuru part, came down to the arena and held a meeting of the beneficiaries in Gundlupete of the District. Somanna distributed vehicles and other equipment to selected beneficiaries across the District in the beneficiary convention organised at D. Devaraj Urs Stadium in Gundlupete Town.
Minister Somanna while inaugurating the programme said, “The Central and State Government have implemented many schemes to improve the lives of the people, after the BJP Government came to power. He said that the money is directly credited into bank account of the eligible beneficiaries and the project money is reaching the people completely without any leakage.
