Mysuru: ‘Chama Cheluve’ a folk play based on the story of Goddess Chamundeshwari and Lord Nanjundeshwara is all ready to be staged, after the court has given the go ahead to Director Mandya Ramesh to do so.

The play, written by Dr. Sujata Akki has music scored by Pichelli Srinivasa.

P K Raj Shekhar,Folk Expert  had earlier objected to the play being staged as he alleged that the play was based on his novel ‘Bettada Siri’ and Bettada Chamundi by Dr. Sujatha Akki.

This allegation was in court and now Mandya Ramesh has been given the green signal to perform the play.

The play was performed by the Natana Team in Vana Ranga,Mysuru.
