Mysuru: CM has assured the Safai Workers, that they  will get their own corporation said Narayana, Chairman Safai Worker Commission.

Speaking at the press meet at the Govt Guest house,  he said the Gujarat Govt. has  taken initiatives for the development of Safai Workers in their state so the commission has requested the CM to form a corporation,  and he has reacted positively to the request and instructed the Social Welfare Officer to consider it in the 2015-16 budget.

Civilian labor has been working from past 20 years,  without getting any benefits regarding health or a permanent job and they are cheated by the contractors . Contractors are misusing the PF and ESI money of Civilian labor, and to avoid the misuse, the commission has decided to credit the salary to the workers account with the help local agencies like it is done by the Haryana Govt

There are 1,20,000 Safai Workers working in Hospitals and other industries but they are backward  in all aspects. Central Govt’s Safai Workers Finance Corporation has given 300 crores in 2013-14 for the development of  Safai Workers to the State’s Ambedkar corporation. However,  since the fund is not utilized it has been sent back he added.
