Mysuru: The Director of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) in association with Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) launched a new program series to evince, motivate and create eminence in science stream among school and college students.
CFTRI will focus on school and college students and will associate with CSIR in its program to encourage leadership qualities among youth in the field of science. The program series will include organising summer camp for rural students, visiting science laboratories and organizing seminars to create awareness among students and teachers with the latest developments in the field of science.
There are plans to setup laboratories and pilot plants at institutional sessions and in classrooms in the program series among selected schools and colleges where teachers also benefit.
The educational series was inaugurated by the vice chancellor of Mangalore University Prof. K.Byrappa. Vice chancellor, University of horticultural science, Bagalkot DL Maheswar and program director of CSIR –CFTRI, Professor Ramarajashekaran exchanged the documents of understanding concerned with the program.
CSIR-CFTRI made latest range of carbonated fruit beverages, super foodstuff were exhibited on the occasion.
