Mysuru: In a meeting held among the City Crime Branch (CCB) Officers, on Friday July 10, City Police Commissioner B. Dayananda said that the CCB needs to be more vigilant about cases such as cyber crime, excise and lottery and human trafficking, in the city.
The meeting was called to discuss the five wings that are now handed over to the CCB, under City Police Commissionerate which are, the Organized Crime Wing, Homicide Crime and Burglaries, Anti-Human Trafficking Wing, Economic Offences-Lottery and Excise Wing and Technical Sale and Cyber Crime unit.
Addressing those gathered at his Office in Nazarbad, Dayananda said that the CCB has been given responsibilities in addition to criminal cases and should cautiously carry out its work.
“With the merger of other crime units to CCB and additional Inspectors being posted, the task of effectively resolving cases is with the officers”, he added.
DCPs Dr. H. T. Shekar and N. D. Birje, CCB ACP Gopala, Inspectors Ansar Ali, Sunil Kumar, K. C. Prakash and Raja Lakshman were among those present at the meeting.
