Mysuru: Close on the heels of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy launching a personal attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by stating that the latter has been leading an extravagant life, wearing spectacles costing Rs 2 lac and watch costing about a lac after becoming the CM, Siddaramaiah, in a lighter note has answered the same.

“Let HDK give me Rs 50,00 and buy my pair of spectacles and watch,” the CM told the reporters at Suthur on Friday.

Later he condoled the death of litterateur Maralaiah and lauded the writer for having donated his body for research.

The CM expressed confidence in winning Devadurg, Bidar and Hebbal by polls apart from winning over 20 ZPs and 100 TPs during the upcoming Panchayat polls.
