Mysuru: Former Chief Minister and BJP state vice-president B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over watch controversy.
Speaking at a press conference in Mysuru, BSY said, “Congress party is embarrassed due to watch row. Nearly half of the party legislators (both MLAs and MLCs) have skipped the crucial Congress legislature party (CLP) meeting and the dinner bash hosted by CM. Siddaramaiah has lost trust of the high command due to watch issue. Home Minister himself has submitted a report saying that the party is in state of uncertainty. CM himself is not able to understand what is happening inside his party.” he said.
“You should be ashamed for saying that the police did not resort to lathicharge even after they did so. Before blaming the previous government, tell what you have been doing now. You have accepted your mistake by returning your watch to Vidhana Soudha. But BJP will not keep quiet. We will continue our judicial fight over watch issue, he said.
Continuing his attack, he said, “You have once again hosted dinner meeting. Wait and watch what your own people will do to you. The people of Karnataka will teach you a lesson. You have given false report that only 250 farmers committed suicide even though the number has crossed a thousand.”
“We will protest if the demands of the farmers are not met,” he warned.
