Bomb hoax at Mysore head post office

Mysore : There was panic in the cultural city on September 26, Thursday morning after an anonymous person who called the head post office at Nehru Circle  said a bomb has been planted in the  office.

The caller  told an office staff Raghu who received the phone that the bomb would explode at 11.30 am. The call triggered panic and soon the cops were informed . The nearby Lashker station personnel rushed with a canine squad and bomb defusing squad. But no explosive was found anywhere in the office.

Police are now trying to track down the anonymous caller.

The incident reported from the city particularly when Dasara celebrations are round the corner, has caused much security concerns.
