Mysuru: As part of a statewide agitation, the members of the BJP staged a protest in front of the deputy Commissioner’s office here on Monday and urged the Congress-led state government to immediately dismiss the ministers and MLAs who are facing various corruption charges.

BJP workers alleged that Congress which came to power in the state promising to run a corruption-free government was now involved in various scams. “The recent raid by I-T officials at the residence of Congress MLC Govindaraju and Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi where the officials have exposed unaccounted properties and money proves that the state government is involved in corrupt activities. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has not only failed to provide satisfactory answer to all the corruption allegations but also has been complacent in addressing the concerns of the people in the Mysuru district”, they said.

Later, the workers including BJP City President Dr. Manjunath, former ministers S A Ramadas, Thontadarya, former MUDA chairman L Nagendra, Maruthi Rao Pawar, other representatives and leaders of the party submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner D Randeep.
