BC Forum demands ban on Pankthi Bedha

Mysore: The Karnataka Rajya Hindulida  Vargagala Jagritha Vedike  staged a protest in front of the DC office here on Tuesday April 22  to condemn the   incident of Pankthi Bedha at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt wherein a non-Brahmin woman who had sat for lunch was asked to walk out of the dining hall.

The protestors described the incident as a case of offending humanity and demanded immediate  ban on practices of Pankthi Bedha and Made Snana.

The agitators expressed their anguish   against the Pejawar seer  and accused of him trying to hush up the incident.

They also questioned why the caste factor comes while dining when the caste factor was  immaterial while accepting donations.

The protestors also warned that they would picket the Mutt if no action followed.

KS Ramu, State President of the Vedike, C Naganna Naika,  District President , Dyavappa Nayaka, District President of Nayaka Sangha and others participated in the protest.
