Mysuru: The Additional Chief Secretary T.M. Vijaya Bhaskar, has submitted a preliminary report on allegations of irregularities against former Director-General of the Mysuru Administrative Training Institute Amita Prasad during her tenure.
The report upholds the allegations in part and indicates seven instances of flouting transparency norms.

The report also recommended a technical inquiry into civic works worth Rs. 44.23 crore and a re-auditing of accounts, said Floor Leader of the Legislative Council S.R. Patil on Tuesday, in reply to the issue raised by G. Madhusudhan (BJP).
The allegations were made by Ms. Prasad’s successor Rashmi V. Mahesh.
Mr. Patil said that Ms. Prasad had sought eight weeks time to reply to the notice served to her on the alleged irregularities amounting to Rs. 100 crore. The demand from Ms. Prasad for some documents from ATI to be sent to Bengaluru to facilitate her reply had been denied, he added.
The government had promised to order an inquiry into the tenure of Ms. Prasad after Ms. Rashmi was attacked in October last year on the ATI premises when she had arrived to condole the death of a staffer.
Mr. Madhusudhan also sought to know why Ms. Rashmi was served a notice for speaking to the press while other officers (in an oblique reference to police officer N. Ravindranath) was being “protected by some Ministers”.
Mr. Patil clarified that Mr. Ravindranath had also been served a notice.
